The same sunset looking out the back yard. They own most of the foreground. The mountains in the background are the site of Cochise's Stronghold where the great Apache Chief held off the US Cavalry more or less indefinitely. Now it's a park. If you go there, you'll see why he was able to hold out -- the weather's nice, there's water, and lots of narrow places for ambushes. We had a nice visit and it's not at all hard to see why they moved there. Both of these photos are completely unretouched, by the way. All I did was scale them down to fit your screen. |
