I'm not entirely sure, but I think this is the one shot I took Beyond The Cow Pie Pot. At any rate, it shows part of the cow flop floor -- as you go upcanyon, there's more of this dry crust that quite obviously is cattlespoo. How it got there is conjectural. Local Lady had never seen any cows in the canyon, ever. So we're guessing it's just the most 'mobile' stuff on the desert floor above, and so a lot gets washed in. And because it's lighter than sand, it ends up on top. Weird, in any event. In the normal course of events, cattles do wander into Antelope and leave messages directly. But it had recently been 'cleaned' by a flash. Flood, that is. The locals don't bother to say 'flood.' |
