I think most of these formations have some kind of name or other. Usually they sound vaguely hindi, like Shiva's Temple or whatever. Shamefully, I didn't bother to learn any of them. What I did notice is how much sharper the view is 'down under.' Also, even at a distance the colors start to brighten up. I suspect just about halfway down is the fairly ideal level to shoot the Canyon. Some day. |
