So after watching this pile of slabs grow for a couple of hours, I had to shoot the closeup. But to tell you the truth, I think it's kind of dumpy looking up close, and sort of majestic from a distance. Many things in the Canyon get more interesting as you get closer, but not all. The stain detail is kind of a puzzle, though. And I wonder if the south side (the lighter side leftward) is bleached by the sun? |
