That's about as far as Ak went on the other side. We turned around with much regret, but as a first reconnaissance into the Canyon, we felt it best to see what a down'n'up is really like. Now we know: no big deal. But the next point down would have doubled the trip, and we really didn't have time for that. Had we started earlier on a longer day, it would have been a cinch. In early June it would be a piece of cake. |
