The light has a way of being gaudy near sunset at Lake Powell. It's hard to avoid a good picture. Seeing the light getting "that way," we pulled off at a "vista point" that turned out to be pretty darn good. In the water to the right are some of the millions of pleasure craft that constantly transport beer and pretzels to various reaches of "lake" Powell. John Wesley might not be overly pleased to have this ... artifact named after him. After that, off to the Super 8 to discover that they have the very worst internet connection in the lower 48. Bummer. Managed to get most of a weather prediction (pretty good) before it broke down completely. That's the last dregs of the Storm That Ruined Our Vacation drifting through the sky. |
