From Mount Wellington we made the short drive to Mount Nelson. From here
they watched for ships entering Storm Bay and could signal down to the
port at Hobart. Neat building. You can see the old signal mast to the left.
Storm Bay was so named because there was a rare storm when Abel Tasman
tried to enter it. Had to wait for Bass and Flinders to finally slip in.
Entirely calm all the while we were there. Misnomers are a common bit
of a joke in Tasmania: see Devils for example.
