I think the main point is called Manley Beacon for some reason. The underlying rock is harder here, so the shapes are different. The color is a bit washed from the bright light, but the better sun angle shows the raggedness better than the previous shot. We walked most of the way to this view from the underside via Golden Canyon on our previous visit. It's an incredible hike, not to be missed (though many people do because the first few hundred yards are a bit dull. Don't make that mistake! We joke about it all the time -- watching people turn back when we were on our way out). |
