But, for all the weirdness of the trail, you do have to admit the colors and look of the canyon are pretty amazing. Even while you're there freezing your ass off, you notice it. I'm shooting along the "trail" here -- there's no land at all between two walls of rock, and wading is the only choice. About half the time, though, sandbars and rockfalls give some solid land to walk on. I have no idea how far we went before turning around, but I'd guess something on the order of a mile or two. |
