Bowknot Bend is a meander in the Green River that turns basically 360 degrees back on itself, and the neck of the isthmus is breaking down. Supposedly this is spectacular, and Ak very very much wanted to find and see it. So off we went. It starts with an easy road leading to Rainbow Rocks, where you can take a little side excursion (above). That's the easy part... Not long after, we saw this cairn sculpture off to the right. Nobody knows who did it, but it's mentioned in the guide books and looks remarkably manlike from the road. A charming bit of art, really. |
