Things were looking good, so out came the 7mm eyepiece. It's a bit tricky to hold the camera in place, but for some reason I wasn't having much trouble that evening. Maybe practice really does help. The Altai Scarp doesn't show quite as well as it often does when the light is from the other side, but we have pretty good detail on Theophilus, Cyrillus and Catherina. Not to mention Janssen in the top left. I think that's the first time I've managed to get even a hint of a rille to show up. |
