Not too far in, the rock took on a different character entirely. Surfaces smoothed out, colors became more pastel, and the shapes trended toward rounded concavities. It's no more than one or two hundred paces to completely change the look, spacing of the walls, character of the soil. This kind of rapid change is amazingly invigorating. |
