This isn't as hard to negotiate as it looks because it's bigger and wider than the eye would guess. I don't think I've ever seen anything remotely like this anywhere else. The striping in the sandstone is often a theme at Waterholes -- but there's no fixed pattern. Sometimes they are smooth, others rough. The variety is astonishing. It seems every time you round a turn you see something different. |
