I think it's a karma story. He showed the canyon to the person who started the ball rolling to bring us all out there. Yeah, me too, with my goofy little camera. He knew it was the wrong thing to do, but pocket change is a compelling temptation. Now it's his karma to spend his days taking more and more people out to see the canyon, year after year, and tell his story to us all, bewildering us with his straightforward truth. It's crime and punishment. That's my story about his story. And probably I have no clue about it, but I listened very closely and that's what I heard. |
