Here we are indeed. At the entrance to the canyon, cars and trucks of tourloads lined up. People everywhere. They make a run through first thing in the morning to clear out the rattlesnakes that like to sleep next to the rocks. Perhaps hundreds of people with tripods and cameras trooping everywhere, getting in each others way. The din in some parts of the canyon is deafening, and because everyone's trying to get The Shot, there may be no direction you can point save straight up. Like this shot. |
