The southern coast has a somewhat different flavor, no less spectacular.
This is near the parking area for Remarkable Cave, about which I will
have a few remarks. Well named, that.
Between the last photo and this we went by Port Arthur, the Big Tourist
Draw of the peninsula. The masses of visitors and busses, the general
ambience, and the glance at the obviously touristized old town and
prison were so massively repulsive that Ak wouldn't even stop at the
visitor's center.
I really can't disagree with the reaction. So there we were, but we
missed it entirely. Alas.
By the way, you're looking at Safety Cove in the direction of Dog's
Bark Road. Should it prove useful.
