While touring the northeast Sierra, most of the time we stayed at a hotel in the little offseason resort of Mammoth Lakes. They have good barbecue. Just up the road is Mammoth Mountain, mostly a ski resort. But if you're inclined toward the geological you can see some wonderful fault traces. Including this section, which is actually fairly unspectacular compared to some nearby crachs -- but this had better light. Oh well. |
