The Best View Of Redrock Is From The Road
My general rule says to see the Best Thing in most parks, you shoulddrive to the end of the road, since that's why they put it there.
Two notable exceptions are Grand Canyon South Rim and Redrock Park,
not too far north of Mojave. This is pretty much what you see from the
road, but it's a bit better if you pull off and park (and there's a
convenient lot for just that purpose).
