Our first day was a bit short, and we actually went on this hike before driving up to Zabriskie. It's a slot canyon that leads to a view of a Turtleback -- a geological formation Ak was curious about. On the way you go under an arch with a great narrow slot beyond. Ak was curious why I stopped. It was in fact to put my thumb over the upper right corner of the lens ... so I had to 'fix' that part of the picture. Can you see it? The weirdness on the left side of the arch is the scratch in my lens. I was not yet completely horrified by it. |
