Not a panorama! Enjoy; the rest all are. Technical: calcium formations formed near warm thermal outflows in shallow lakes. You can see these 'in action' at Mono Lake. When the lake dries up, this is what you get. Also, I guess, Trona. Which is what they mine around here. And no, for the life of me, I can't remember what Trona is, other than the name of the town not visible behind this nifty sight. |
