A shot like this is taken about three or four inches from the subject. That's forced by the camera (Sony DSC-P30) which shoots great macros, but requires extreme proximity. Newts are generally calm, so this kind of thing isn't that hard if you get the chance. I don't really know if this is a newt or a salamander. This just in: Akk tells me it's a California Newt. |
