Here's a bit more telling example, and one of the coolest rocks we saw. There were entire chocolate mountains inside, but this one seemingly misplaced rock was utterly spectacular. Look how warped the strata are, in an area where layers almost always approach flat within a few degrees, and extend for miles in straight lines. Clearly, Something Big happened here. And quite locally. |
