However, we would have to get to Kanab that night, so at some point we had to turn around and get moving. It was time. And, curiously, this shot was taken at the precise moment Ak gave up on an extended gaze-fest she'd been having from the furthest reasonable access point on the mesa. We'd accomplished this spot in 2WD mode over some particularly nasty slickrock sections, which she drove really well. On the very last day of our four wheeling, it was obvious how much we'd learned in the last few days. And, obvious that we had a lot more to learn about offroad techniques -- but that will be another story. |
