This is where we stopped. Though very warped, this composite does capture the air of the place. Note the sand and gravel bar to the left: there was no special reason to have to stop here. Rather, we had simply gone about as far as we wanted, and doubted that anything really different lay ahead. Who knows? It was both easy and hard to stop, and most of the crowd had given up before this. So, we turned around and headed back. |
