In the last picture, Ak was shooting in the general direction of this proto-arch. Don't ask me why I stuck it in; I just like the picture. It really was a spectacular place, with sheer canyon walls and the river some many hundreds of feet below (I don't actually know how far). We toodled around here for quite a while, looking for the isthmus and generally checking it out. |
