One of the earlier public showing of Ak's hand-built 8-inch four-tube dob. She made the mirror, designed and built the entire scope herself, with nothing but derision from me. All of my criticisms turned out completely wrong, and the scope is stable and perfect, even if the focuser is on the wrong side. Taken at Hidden Villa in basically complete darkness. What a zoo that was! Almost literally: note the hay everywhere. |
