Weird clouds huh? Puzzled the heck out of us all through the trip, mostly because my laptop has an 800x600 screen and didn't show enough resolution to figure out that's the reflection of my white tennis shoe in the windshield.

This is near the beginning of Diamond Creek Road through the Hualapai reservation down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It's the only drive-in access, and we had no idea it existed until exhaustive web searches turned it up.

It's a bit easier than walking down, and smells better than mules. We tried to get a room at Phantom Ranch in order to do the hike, but ha ha ha.

In some ways this is better, though. The Hualapai seem cool, and they can use the road fee ($6 per head I think). Easy, simple, neat, quick.
