Early in our travel career I discovered Ak had never been to either KC or to see the big fat trees. Neither park requires much time for a casual visit, so we combined them. Though either could eat up weeks to explore the back country, we have not been back since. |

| The depth and relatively mysterious look is mostly the result of haze. Fortunately, this particular haze is just moisture and outgassing from the trees, not smog. A view like this would have been possible even for whatever folk had been here before industrial activity began. |
